Visit North Georgia Virtually, May Edition
VISIT NORTH GEORGIA
FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR HOME.
Just because we are doing our part of staying "socially distant", doesn't mean we can't experience North Georgia. Here are some options to enjoy everything North Georgia has to offer.
Catch the Fly Over
Saturday May 2, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds along with U.S. Navy Blue Angels have a planned Joint flyover in the Atlanta Area. The time has not yet been announced but check their facebook page, the exact route should be published Friday.
Guided Tours Through North Georgia
A new mobile app provides guided tours though some of Helen and White County's most historic sites. The App/Map provides educational opportunities for visitors, families and students to explore and learn about the history, culture and heritage of the area.
Online Exhibitions
Brenau University has worked hard to publish online galleries of wonderful works of art. Enjoy the beauty of art from the comfort of your own home.
Rubber Ducky Derby
The shutdown has not stopped the Boys and Girls Club from holding their annual event, except this time it will be held on Facebook Live 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16. There is still time to buy a duck and support the Boys and Girls Club of Lanier!
Drive-thru Farm Fun
Just because we are social distancing, doesn't mean the kids can't enjoy some fun! Warbington Farms in Cumming is holding a drive-thru farm tour, where you can enjoy the animals from the comfort of your own car.
